RELIGION
In Religion the students will learn how God reveals himself as the one true God. He is the God the Father, Creator of Heaven and Earth. Father Gannon will visit for his weekly lesson.

ELA
In ELA the students will be learning how to make inferences while using text evidence to support their responses. Students are also practicing determining the theme.

MATH
In Math the students will be learning how to use multiplication in comparison multistep problems while estimating products.
-
SS/SCIENCE
In SS the students will be learning about the Algonquians and the Iroquois of New York State.
In Science the students will be learning about energy and how people use it.

Week of 11/18- 11/29
Students purple test folders are being sent home weekly. Please review all assignments and tests. Please sign and return the test record sheet in the folder. Students should also make any spelling corrections needed and return.
Please be sure that your child has earbuds or headphones in school each day .
Students should also keep a set of rosary beads in their backpacks.
Please be sure to periodically check your child's grades posted in PowerSchool.

Dismissal- If your child will have a change in their regular dismissal, please send in a note. Bus drivers also need to be notified in advance when your child will not be taking the bus either to or from school. Thank you.
Lunch Orders- Please submit your orders by Thursday for the following week's lunch order. Orders are due by Thursday night midnight for the next week.

SSPJ Academic School Year 2024-2025
I am very excited for this upcoming school year! I started teaching at SSPJ School in 2014. In our classroom learning and exploration takes place independently, interactively and cooperatively. Lessons are fun and engaging. Students read varied texts and books including both fiction and non-fiction genres. Students participate in STREAM activities and they use technology daily. Throughout each day, we are blessed to incorporate our Catholic values and beliefs into all subject areas. I have high expectations for all students and I am devoted to helping each child succeed. I cannot wait to see all of the amazing achievements the students will accomplish this year! I look forward to an exciting and fun year ahead of us!
