The Academy of Sts. Philip and James prepares the whole person for the rigors of Catholic High School and the challenges of life.  Emphasis is placed on leadership, maintaining academic superiority, and putting faith into action.

Leadership initiative:  The move from elementary school to middle school marks the beginning of a new set of expectations and a new world of opportunities.  Challenging academic curriculum and inspired Catholic teachings give each student the intellectual, spiritual and social preparation needed for greater achievement in high school, college, and beyond.  A renewed focus on study skills and research skills begin to prepare students for the rigors of high school.

Maintaining academic superiority:  The innovative middle school program, now called "The Academy" continues our students' challenging academic curriculum including rigorous literature, math, computer, art, music and foreign languages classes.  Sts. Philip and James School students consistently score in the top percentages on national and state testing and through the Academy model, expects to continue to see our students earn a 100% acceptance rate into one of the prestigious Long Island Catholic High Schools.

Faith into Action:  The moral and spiritual lessons SSPJ students have learned along the way guide them into more advanced charitable activities and community service.

Taking their place in the Sts. Philip and James faith community: SSPJ Academy students will begin to assume more important roles in our faith community.

Becoming the young men and women who will shape our future: With values built on rock-solid foundation and an exceptional education that has engaged each student's unique abilities, students begin to blossom into young men and women of character.
