Yesterday is gone.
Tomorrow has yet to come.
We have only today.
Let us begin.

A Message from the Pastor

Sharing the Good News
 and Blessings of SSPJ School!

Last week, SSPJ School Principal Ruth Testa announced her retirement.  Ruth has been part of our SSPJ family for 30 years!  She has touched the hearts, minds and souls of countless students, staff and families.  We are deeply grateful for her faithful dedication over all these years.  Ruth, we wish you many blessings on your journey into retirement.

Thank you for your loving, caring service to SSPJ.

Our SSPJ School journey also continues.  A search committee has been formed in cooperation with the Diocesan Education Department to interview and decide on our next principal in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, our school continues to serve as a model of spiritual and academic excellence.  We boast 100 years of forming hearts, spirits and souls.   We also boast documented outstanding scholastic achievement, outscoring area public, parochial and private schools.  And we respond creatively to the needs of our students through efforts such as SSPJ Academy for grades 6-8, now completing its first year.

We have seats available in all grades and want to insure a strong future.  We know finances can be a challenge, and we encourage you to please visit

The mission of Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation is to ensure the excellence as well as the continuance of Catholic Schools on Long Island by increasing awareness and by providing scholarship and program funding for the needs of students and schools.

We do need your help in promoting our wonderful school!  Please, help spread the word of the world of possibilities for dynamic spiritual and academic growth found in SSPJ School.

I will be asking many of our school parents past and present to share with you the good news of our school with the hope that you might consider a visit, and see firsthand all that SSPJ School can offer to your child, your family, our parish and our community.  Please click HERE to read a letter from Parishioner and SSPJ Parent and Grandparent, Clare Farrell.

Blessings and peace, my friends!
